Role Summary:


The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic and operational partner to the Operations & Technology unit at SGX, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. This role requires a proactive professional who can balance strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on HR execution, including recruitment, employee relations, and manager coaching.

Role Responsibilities:


Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Provide insights on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development.
  • Own and work with cross-functional partners to deliver on financial discipline goals.


Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for operations and technical roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and crafting offer proposals.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely and quality hires.
  • Provide market insights based on data points from sourcing and/or from networking with market partners.
  • Using market insights available, work with the Compensation and Benefits team to ensure we remain competitive in the market.


Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee matters, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
  • Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.


Manager Coaching & Advisory

  • Coach managers on leadership practices, performance management, and team development, in alignment with other company-wide managerial development programs.
  • Work with the Learning & Development team on addressing gaps in managerial capabilities.
  • Support managers in handling complex employee relations issues.


Compliance, Policy & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and internal HR policies.
  • Provide guidance on HR policy interpretation and updates.
  • Participate in audits as required, owning them and driving them successfully to completion.


HR Projects & Analytics

  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions.
  • Contribute ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Deliver on annual HR programs such as Employee Engagement Surveys, Performance & Merit Review cycles, Talent Review cycles etc.


Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a business partner capacity.
  • Exposure to financial services environments is advantageous.
  • Experienced in hiring tech and/or operations roles.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes and employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret HR metrics and provide data-driven recommendations.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Coaching and influencing capabilities.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office suit, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of comfort with numbers is important.
