Status and Rate: Outside of IR35, day rate.

SRT Marine are looking to accelerate some specific product features and in the short term hire some targeted contract engineers to achieve this.

About The Role
SRT Marine are looking to accelerate some specific product features and in the short term hire some targeted contract engineers to achieve this.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin (and Java where required)
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver new features
- Translate product requirements and designs into well-structured, testable code
- Ensure app performance, quality, security, and responsiveness
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs
- Write unit tests and contribute to automated testing where applicable
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Follow Android best practices and platform guidelines
- Strong experience with Kotlin (primary)
- Working knowledge of Java (for legacy codebases)
- Native Android app development using Android SDK
- Understanding of Android app lifecycle, components (Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers)
- Familiarity with Gradle and Android build systems
