We're looking for a full stack Java developer to work on an enterprise portfolio with one of our government clients based in Sydney.
About the Role
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Apache Camel.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and microservices architecture.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, MemoryDB (Redis), and MSK (Kafka).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Optimise applications for cloud scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with organisational and industry standards.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
- Monitor application performance and implement improvements using tools like CloudWatch and New Relic.
- Maintain and adhere to Quality Systems processes and procedures associated with the role.
About You
- SME hands-on skills and experience with Java.
- Extensive experience with AWS services e.g. Lambda, EC2, S3 etc.
- Some experience across CI/CD, IaC and automation engineering would be advantageous.
