This is an exciting opportunity to lead the HR Operations team to develop consistency of practice, directly influencing decisions and drive strategic programs to shape a strong workplace culture.
This position is responsible for leading workforce analytics and reporting, HR Business Partnering, employee relations, industrial relations, and employee diversity and inclusion functions and teams to deliver high quality human resources services across the department.
The Opportunity
As Our Senior Director, HR Operations You Will
- Lead and oversee the workforce analytics and reporting, HR business partnering, employee relations, industrial relations, and employee diversity and inclusion functions and teams to deliver high quality human resources services and advice.
- Provide high level advice to the Chief People and Culture Officer, Director-General, Deputy irectors-General, Senior Leaders and other departmental staff on strategic human resource matters.
- Oversee and provide advice on the department workforce analytics and data highlighting trends in Working for Queensland results.
- Plan and lead organisational change projects, including managed restructures of business area operations.
- Lead the development of innovative strategies to drive a culture of diversity and inclusion through the implementation of a whole of department plan.
- Lead HR business partners service delivery across the department to align workforce strategies with operational needs and strategic goals
- Be the escalation point on ethics and integrity matters and provide expert advice to the delegate as required. Represent the department at the Agency Consultative Committee meetings and liaise with unions on high level matters.
- Foster critical relationships internal and external to the department including the Public Sector Commission and other government departments.
- Prepare reports, Cabinet and Parliamentary material, submissions, briefing notes, presentations and correspondence.
- Participate in the People and Culture Leadership Team discussions and meetings and contribute positively to the overall strategic direction.
- Represent the department at whole of government forums, meetings and networks and provide feedback on how DPI can contribute at a whole of government level
- You will be accountable for a procurement authority of up to $500,000.
