Freelance assignment - Azure DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for a freelance Azure DevOps Engineer with good IaC experience, who enjoys working hands-on while contributing to long-term platform improvements in a complex enterprise IT environment.

Your role

As a DevOps Engineer you'll collaborate with with experienced, international engineering teams where you’ll take ownership of cloud automation, CI/CD and platform reliability:

• Automate Azure environments and reduce technical debt
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Drive Infrastructure as Code for reliable deployments
• Keep platforms observable, stable and performant
• Solve complex issues and turn them into lasting improvements
• Support a large-scale Azure tenant migration
• Boost reliability, performance and time-to-market

What you bring

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure infrastructure
• Solid experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and IaC with Bicep and/or Terraform.
• Good understanding of cloud networking and security concepts
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or Azure Monitor
• Comfortable working in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe)
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset and clear communication skills
• Nice to have: Azure AZ-400 certification

-Location: Hasselt or Mechelen. Hybrid set-up: 1 to 2 days/ week on-site.

-Contract: Freelance - duration of 9 months, possibly extendable.
