We are hiring a Network Operations Center Engineer. This role is ideal to start a Freelance career.
What you will do
- Monitor and support critical IT and OT network operations in a 24/7 environment
- Analyse and resolve incidents, escalating where needed
- Participate in deployment and maintenance of network and security solutions (firewalls, routing, switching)
- Assist in implementing connectivity for new projects, data centres, and cloud services
- Perform changes in line with strict operational procedures
- Collaborate with ICT teams across Belgium and Europe to ensure stable and secure connectivity
What you bring
- First relevant experience in network operations or support
- Knowledge of firewall operations (Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint)
- Understanding of routing and switching (CCNA level or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Cisco CLI and Python scripting
- Experience with network monitoring, NAC, syslog, or authentication tools
- Strong team spirit, yet able to work independently
