We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to design, document, govern, and evolve our on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure platforms. This role ensures that DPD Baltics infrastructure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective, aligned with business and technology strategy. The Infrastructure Architect works closely with enterprise architects, security, operations, and application teams to translate business requirements into robust infrastructure architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, document and enforce infrastructure standards, patterns, best practices and reference architectures
Design, document and maintain infrastructure architectures (on-prem, cloud, hybrid)
Support IT Infrastructure manager on defining long term IT infrastructure strategy, operational and infrastructure modernization initiatives
Review and approve infrastructure designs and major changes for:
- Compute, storage, and virtualization
- Networking and connectivity
- Cloud platforms (IaaS / PaaS)
- Backup, disaster recovery, and high availability
Ensure architectures meet security, compliance, resilience and disaster recovery requirements
Collaborate with:
- Enterprise and IT Solution architects
- IT applications team
- Security teams
- Infrastructure operations teams
Review and approve infrastructure designs and major changes
Support cloud migration, modernization, and automation initiatives
Provide architectural and technical leadership during major infrastructure changes, upgrades, and transformations
Evaluate new technologies and vendors; provide recommendations and roadmaps
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT teams
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
5+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with 3+ years in an architecture or design capacity
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Data center technologies (servers, storage, virtualization)
- Enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancers)
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS)
Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
Familiarity with network architectures using Fortinet platform
Ability to produce architecture diagrams, design documents, standards and reference models
Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL, or similar), and cybersecurity best practices
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Candidates with IT Solution Architecture experience will be considered a strong advantage, including:
Ability to design end-to-end IT solutions spanning:
- Infrastructure, applications, and integration layers
- Cloud and on-premises components
Experience collaborating with stakeholders, business and technical product owners
Experience in translating business and non-functional requirements into IT solution designs
Experience and understanding of:
- IT solution architecture design principles, concepts, and patterns such as microservices, APIs, middleware
- File-based (e.g., FTP/SFTP) and API-based (e.g., REST and SOAP web services, message queues) applications/services integration mechanisms
- Integration approaches for applications and services, including REST and SOAP APIs, message-based integrations, and file-based exchanges over FTP/SFTP
