Network Engineer (CCNP Certified)

My client based in Dublin City Centre are seeking an experienced CCNP-certified Network Engineer to join a highly skilled technical team supporting and delivering enterprise-grade network solutions.

This role is suited to a hands-on engineer with strong routing, switching, and troubleshooting expertise, comfortable working in complex, high-availability environments.

You will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise networks, working across multiple technologies and collaborating closely with internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
• Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies in production environments
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
• Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents and performance issues
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards
• Ensure network security, resilience, and availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve technical issues
• Participate in change management and planned out-of-hours work when required

Required Skills & Experience

• Valid CCNP certification (mandatory)
• Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise LAN/WAN architectures
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex network environments
• Experience working with network security concepts and firewalls
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Nice to Have

• Experience with wireless networking solutions
• Exposure to network monitoring and management tools
• Experience in service provider or managed services environments
• Additional certifications (e.g. CCNP Security, CCIE track, vendor equivalents)
