Are you our new Application Support Specialist?
What will you do:
- Responding to incidents as 2nd level support specialist - analyzing, investigating and escalating issues to the development team.
- Independently manage and coordinate work on incidents to ensure that SLAs are met.
- Monitor a variety of system parts, logging sources and interfaces, scheduled tasks and business application processes in order to ensure business process continuity.
- Proactively improve monitoring capabilities in line with evolving needs.
- Share insights and statistics about incidents and monitoring.
- Help with application deployments and server maintenance.
What we´re looking for:
Technical requirements
- Customer-oriented communicator with a positive attitude, who is able to analyze problems and identify root causes as a 2nd level support specialist.
- Good problem solving skills to determine cause of an incident.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to drive incidents to resolution.
- Well versed in database principles and SQL concepts (e.g. joins).
- Basic SQL knowledge to execute scripts on MS SQL database
- Strong Python skills
- Basic PowerShell skills
- Ability to find and analyze Windows Server log entries
- Basic understanding of Networks and TCP/IP stack.
- Proficient in English reading and writing.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours occasionally for releases and server patching.
It´s a plus if you have:
- IT Service Desk/IT Support experience
- Competence in ITSM/ITIL practices for support SLAs and incident management.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix, Grafana).
- MS Windows Server administration skills (e.g. creating, modifying scheduler tasks, security management)
- Experience with MS SQL database: Ability to read and write SQL queries
- Basic understanding of version control software (Git).
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with TeamCity and Octopus.
- Experience Azure and willingness develop DevOps skills
