About the Client
Join a high-impact modernization initiative for a leading UK PropTech company, where you'll help transform a mission-critical legacy SaaS/TOM platform into a modern, scalable solution. You'll dive deep into classic .NET monolith code to uncover and reshape complex business logic—an engaging challenge for engineers who love problem-solving at the architectural level.
This project offers the rare opportunity to rebuild both backend and frontend from the ground up using modern frameworks, cloud-ready patterns, and clean architecture principles. Expect a strong focus on engineering excellence: analytics and monitoring instrumentation, automated testing, CI/CD maturity, and maintainable code quality. If you want to leave a lasting technical legacy and work in a team that values innovation, this is the project for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the front-end development of Blazor-based applications, ensuring high-quality implementation and performance
- Define and maintain front-end architecture, coding standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into intuitive UI/UX solutions
- Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, usability, and responsiveness
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and support the growth of front-end engineers
- Drive improvements in UI components, design systems, and front-end tooling
- Participate in planning, estimation, and technical decision-making
- Stay current with Blazor advancements, WebAssembly, and front-end technologies to guide long-term technical strategy
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in front-end engineering, including at least 2 years with Blazor (Server and/or WebAssembly)
- Strong proficiency in C# for front-end development within the Blazor ecosystem
- Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript, and web standards
- Experience with component-driven development and reusable UI architectures
- Solid understanding of state management patterns in Blazor
- Knowledge of REST APIs, WebSockets, and integration with backend services
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills in a Blazor/WASM environment
- Experience leading front-end teams or acting as a senior/lead engineer
- Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility principles, and UX best practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
Nice to have
- Experience with Razor components, MudBlazor, or other Blazor UI libraries
- Understanding of .NET ecosystem concepts (dependency injection, configuration, hosting models)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for front-end deployments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Background in design systems or UI/UX collaboration
- Experience with automated UI testing frameworks
