Mobile applications play a key role in content distribution and news delivery, reaching millions of users globally, with a strong focus on innovation, performance, and quality.

About the role:

We are looking for a Mobile Engineer III (iOS) to join the Mobile Team, responsible for building next-generation iOS applications for premium content brands.

This role focuses on:

• Modernizing legacy mobile systems
• Integrating new technologies and cloud services
• Improving application performance and delivery efficiency
• Ensuring the mobile tech stack supports business objectives

You will play a senior role with direct influence on technical decisions and the evolution of the mobile platform.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems and adopt modern mobile architectures.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies that improve performance or business outcomes.
• Optimize application performance, stability, and user experience.
• Collaborate closely with product, backend, and design teams to meet delivery milestones.
• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions within the mobile team.
• Ensure high code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Work in an Agile environment with globally distributed teams.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of native iOS development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
• Strong understanding of data structures, system design, and design patterns.
• Experience with API design, MVVM, and declarative UI.
• Experience using Git and DevOps / CI-CD practices.
• Experience working with and modernizing legacy mobile systems.
• Interest in content-driven products and news platforms.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Nice to have:

• Full-stack experience or familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc.
• Experience building high-traffic or content-based mobile applications.
• Background or strong interest in journalism or digital media.
