Position : WORD PRESS DEVELOPER (Part-time)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday following EST/EDT
Pay Range: up to USD 2,000/month (Please note that the final offer is at the client's discretion and will be based on the candidate's skills and years of experience.)

Responsibilities
Development and Implementation
- Custom Theme/Plugin Development: Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch using clean, well-documented, and efficient code (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- Front-End Implementation: Implement responsive and accessible front-end interfaces using modern standards, ensuring designs accurately reflect mockups and provide an excellent user experience (UX).
- Conversion Optimization: Implement tracking codes (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager), forms, landing pages, and A/B testing variations to support Alpha Key Digital’s goal of converting leads into paying customers.
- E-commerce Solutions: Implement and customize e-commerce functionality using platforms like WooCommerce as required by client projects.
- Optimization: Focus heavily on website performance, achieving high scores in tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and Core Web Vitals.
- Security and Backup: Ensure all client websites are secure, up-to-date, and fully backed up, managing core WordPress updates, themes, and plugins.
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and site errors across various client sites and hosting environments.
- SEO Best Practices: Implement technical SEO requirements, including schema markup, XML sitemaps, and proper heading structure, in collaboration with the SEO team.
- Technical Consultation: Provide accurate time estimates and technical recommendations to Project Managers and the Sales team during the planning phase.
- Integration: Seamlessly integrate third-party APIs and marketing automation tools (e.g., CRMs, email platforms) with WordPress.
- QA Testing: Conduct thorough testing across different browsers and devices to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience specifically developing and maintaining WordPress websites in an agency or fast-paced environment.
- Technical Expertise:
- Expert knowledge of WordPress architecture, security, and best practices.
- Proficiency in core web languages: PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/LESS), and JavaScript (jQuery/Vanilla JS).
- Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage development for multiple projects concurrently.
You’re the kind of person who have:
- Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, Divi) and strong knowledge of when to use them versus custom development.
- Familiarity with server management, caching solutions, and hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, SiteGround)
- Knowledge of React or Vue.js is a plus.
