Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr Software Engineer to be part of a remote team that builds high-availability solutions for dental offices and enterprises focusing on insurance eligibility in the revenue cycle management space.

What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and enhance features while resolving bugs, delivering high-quality, maintainable code
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams
- Mentor and support the growth of team members by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and promoting best practices
- Solve complex technical challenges with creativity, curiosity, and a focus on long-term solutions
- Partner with DevOps to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable software delivery
- Apply SOLID principles, test-driven development, and other best practices to produce robust, scalable software
- Travel typically less than 10%
- Office environment with no special physical demands required
- Languages & Frameworks: Java with Spring Boot
- Databases: Postgres
- DevOps & Tools: GitLab and Jira
- Messaging & Cloud: Kafka, and AWS
- Micro-Service Architecture and REST API Development
What You Will Have
- 6+ years of experience building backend software with Java
- Has experience working effectively within an agile, hybrid work environment
- Actively engages in sharing ideas and learning from fellow team members
- Ability to apply effective technical leadership and works collaboratively with the team to drive outcomes
- Proficient with RESTful APIs and integrating internal/third-party services
- Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively across other engineering teams and product
- Proactive, curious, and self-motivated; empathetic, authentic, and resilient
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Hands-on experience building frontend applications with React
- Practices Continuous Deployment to streamline software delivery
