About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our platform's future by designing, developing, and scaling core backend systems that underpin our financial products. Your expertise will help ensure our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure, enabling us to deliver innovative solutions to our users. You will have the opportunity to lead greenfield projects, make foundational technical decisions, and collaborate across multiple teams, including product, design, data science, and other engineering disciplines. Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Expertise in architecting and deploying large-scale distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in backend development, with familiarity across multiple technical areas
• Experience collaborating with frontend and mobile development teams
• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges with structured thinking and analytical rigor
• Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and secure coding practices
• Proven track record of building resilient, reliable, and secure systems that meet high security and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale backend systems from architecture to deployment, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability
• Lead greenfield projects, making foundational technical decisions to shape the platform's future
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to develop impactful features and solve complex business challenges
• Drive technical discussions, set best practices in system design, coding, testing, and DevOps processes
• Build products and services that deliver immediate and meaningful value to users, focusing on customer-centric innovation
• Ensure systems adhere to data privacy laws, compliance standards, and secure coding practices
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
