Scrum Master

Location: Remote

Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Ongoing)


Responsibilities

  • Guide, coach, and motivate Agile teams to improve performance, productivity, and collaboration.
  • Lead modernization initiatives, including process improvements, system upgrades, and digital transformation projects.
  • Demonstrate strong passion for Agile frameworks and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean Thinking, Lean Startup, XP, SAFe, and LeSS.
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders; oversee and manage scope, timelines, quality, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor schedule, budget, and cost performance.
  • Identify and track key KPIs to measure team and project success.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven reports on progress, risks, and outcomes.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience leading Agile projects as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner.
  • Proficiency in creating storyboards, wireframes, product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria; understanding of engineering best practices (e.g., TDD, CI/CD).
  • Experience facilitating or teaching Agile practices in workshops or classroom environments (preferred).
  • Active contributor to the Agile community through publishing, speaking engagements, or participation in Agile groups (preferred).
  • Strong analytical aptitude with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership experience in professional or extracurricular settings.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong communication skills, especially in conveying complex ideas clearly.
  • Recognized subject matter expertise with the ability to lead others and apply advanced concepts.
  • Capable of planning, organizing, and leading complex initiatives to support organizational decision-making, including modernization and ServiceNow implementation efforts.
  • While deep expertise is valued over years of experience for emerging skill sets, candidates typically have 10+ years of relevant experience.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
