Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to support a mission-critical, 24/7 operational environment. This role is focused on real-time network support, troubleshooting, and stability, especially during night shift operations where independent decision-making is essential.

The ideal candidate has strong fundamentals in networking protocols, practical troubleshooting experience, and is comfortable working in field and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time network monitoring and troubleshooting during night shift operations
  • Support and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks in a live production environment
  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, and wireless issues with minimal escalation
  • Diagnose and resolve network outages impacting operations and systems
  • Work hands-on with network hardware, switches, access points, cabling, and fiber
  • Monitor alerts, analyze root cause, and restore services quickly
  • Document incidents, fixes, and provide clear handover notes for the day team
  • Follow safety and operational procedures while working on-site

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience as a Network Engineer or Network Support Engineer
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols:
  • OSPF
  • STP
  • BGP
  • Solid knowledge of wireless networking, including:
  • 802.11 protocols
  • Wi-Fi troubleshooting, roaming, and interference issues
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Switching & Routing
  • VLANs, trunking, spanning tree behavior
  • Network troubleshooting in production environments
  • Experience working with Cisco network devices (or similar enterprise vendors)
  • Ability to troubleshoot real-world network issues under pressure
  • Comfortable working independently during night shifts

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in industrial, logistics, port, manufacturing, or OT environments
  • Exposure to network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.)
  • Experience supporting 24/7 operations
  • Knowledge of WAN connectivity, MPLS, or SD-WAN
