Proclinical is seeking a Process Data Scientist to join a dynamic team focusing on drug substance manufacturing. In this role, you will develop, validate, and maintain robust multivariate data analysis (MVDA) models to support quality assurance processes. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge biopharma processes and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop MVDA models for drug substance manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the end-to-end technical creation of model structures.
- Pre-process and curate raw process data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Apply rigorous data modeling techniques to prevent false positives or negatives.
- Execute formal validation protocols to demonstrate model suitability.
- Maintain and update models to ensure accuracy as process baselines evolve.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Background in Chemical Engineering, Chemometrics, Statistics, or Biotechnology (PhD preferred, or equivalent experience with a Bachelor's/Master's degree).
- Proficiency in statistics with relevant industry experience.
- Strong understanding of biopharma processes.
- Proficient in English and German (B2-C1 level).
- Familiarity with modeling frameworks such as Open-DCP or SIMCA is a plus.
- Knowledge of R programming for statistical computing is advantageous.
- Experience with Aveva PI System Explorer or OSIsoft for data retrieval is desirable.
