Australian Venue Co. (AVC) is seeking a Finance Reporting Analyst to join our Financial Accounting team at our Melbourne Head Office. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate management and statutory reporting, with a strong focus on Head Office costs, labour analysis, and balance sheet integrity.
This is an ideal opportunity for a CA/CPA (part-qualified or qualified) professional looking to build depth in financial reporting within a high-growth, fast-paced organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
Month-End & Management Reporting
- Support the month-end close process, with a focus on Head Office departments and labour costs
- Prepare journals to complete the month-end process
- Produce management reporting and analyse Head Office costs against budget
- Identify, investigate, and clearly explain favourable and unfavourable variances
- Partner with Head Office stakeholders to help them understand their P&Ls and support annual budget development
Balance Sheet & Controls
- Prepare selected monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve material reconciling items
- Support the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger
Statutory & Board Reporting
- Assist with preparation of selected statements and notes for year-end financial reports
- Support monthly board reporting requirements
- Assist with audit coordination, including responding to auditor queries and collating supporting documentation
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, finance teams, and auditors
- Provide timely, accurate, and professional financial support
- Contribute as an active member of the finance team and participate in team initiatives

Qualifications & Experience
- CA or CPA qualified or part-qualified
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a large or mid-tier accounting firm or a similar industry role
- Exposure to financial reporting and audit processes (preferred but not essential)
- Experience using accounting systems and adapting to new platforms
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
