Profectus is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Project Managers who have delivered projects within the Australian public sector and/or have experience working in security-cleared environments, including Defence and national security domains.

Our clients deliver complex, high-assurance initiatives across government, operating within structured, highly governed environments. Opportunities may involve leading projects that require disciplined delivery, strong stakeholder engagement, and alignment with public sector governance and assurance expectations.

Areas of experience and contribution may include:

• End-to-end delivery of projects within public sector or cleared environments
• Establishing and managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating delivery partners and vendors
• Engaging with stakeholders across business, ICT, cyber security, and executive groups
• Operating formal governance forums, reporting, and assurance activities
• Managing change control and decision-making in structured delivery environments
• Supporting transition to operations, handover, and benefits realisation
• Ensuring delivery aligns with public sector policies, frameworks, and security requirements

Skills and experience of interest

Essential experience:

• Demonstrated experience delivering projects within the Australian public sector and/or security-cleared environments
• Strong understanding of public sector governance, assurance, and reporting requirements
• Proven ability to operate in complex, regulated delivery environments
• Strong communication skills and structured, evidence-based decision making
• Experience working with agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery models

Clearance considerations:

• Current or previous Australian Government security clearance (Baseline, NV1, or NV2)
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Desirable experience:

• Experience delivering ICT, digital, infrastructure, or capability projects
• Familiarity with frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP, P3M, PMBOK, or equivalent
• Experience supporting Defence, national security, or regulated government agencies
• Exposure to risk, compliance, or assurance-heavy programs
