Senior Software Engineer (Blockchain)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join a pioneering team at the forefront of digital finance innovation. The role centres around contributing to the development and evolution of a proprietary software platform that underpins yield-generating investment products for crypto holders. As part of a close-knit team of five experienced engineers, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing new product features, enhancing system performance, and ensuring robust integrations with third-party services. The platform is API-driven and multi-tenant, built to support institutional-grade digital asset operations with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and reliability.

In addition to hands-on coding, you’ll play a key role in the deployment and operation of live services. The team values clean, well-tested, and well-documented code, and works in a collaborative environment that encourages initiative and cross-functional communication. You’ll engage regularly with business, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure technical solutions align with strategic goals.

The tech stack includes TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS (EKS), with a strong focus on test automation and agile development practices. Responsibilities:

💡 Design and implement backend services (and occasionally frontend features) using TypeScript

🧪 Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code

🚀 Deploy and operate live services – “you build it, you run it”

🤝 Collaborate cross-functionally with business, legal, compliance, and operations teams

📈 Contribute to a high-velocity, high-quality engineering culture

Technical Environment:

☁️ AWS-hosted infrastructure running on EKS

📦 TypeScript codebase with PostgreSQL as the primary data store

🔐 Security and availability are top priorities – ISO27001 & SOC 2 Type 2 certified

🧪 Strong emphasis on test automation and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

💼 7+ years of software development experience, primarily backend

🧑 💻 Expert-level TypeScript and solid PostgreSQL skills

🧪 Experience with high test coverage and automated testing

🐳 Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes

🧩 Agile mindset with a systematic approach to problem-solving

🗣️ Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)

Bonus skills:

🪙 Experience with crypto, blockchain, or web3 technologies (e.g. smart contracts, exchange APIs, web3 libraries)

🧪 Background in system and acceptance test automation

🌐 Frontend development experience with React
