Role Title: Application Support Specialist – Telecom OSS Inventory
Experience Required: 6+ years
Location: Helsinki, Finland (on-site)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
Security & Residency Requirement
Candidate must have resided in Finland for a minimum of 3 years
Must be eligible for security clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor application health using APM tools and log analysis; triage incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), deploy hotfixes, and maintain KEDB and operational runbooks.
- Coordinate and support major incident management in collaboration with NOC, SOC, and Logistics Operations teams.
- Operate, support, and enhance REST, GraphQL, and SOAP integrations between mobile applications and OSS inventory/process cores, including resource and service models, work orders, and warehouse movements.
- Configure scanning profiles (Barcode, QR, RFID), validation rules, and business logic across various asset classes such as CPE, RAN modules, optics, routers, and switches.
- Manage feature toggles, environment configurations, and ensure release readiness across Test, UAT, and Production environments.
- Develop and maintain support tools and scripts (CLI/automation) for log ingestion, replaying failed synchronizations, and performing bulk data corrections.
Experience & Skills
Mandatory Skills
- Strong Telecom OSS domain expertise, including inventory and resource modeling, field operations, and logistics workflows; familiarity with order fulfillment and service assurance touchpoints.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript and Node.js (services and integrations) and Kotlin.
- Solid understanding of API and integration patterns: REST, GraphQL, SOAP, webhooks, and message queues, with strong error handling and idempotency practices.
- Database expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL and/or Oracle) for querying, tuning, and data reconciliation; working knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Practical experience with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management; participation in CAB meetings and execution of release/rollback procedures.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TM Forum frameworks and standards (eTOM, SID, ODA) and relevant TMF APIs for inventory and order management.
- Knowledge of Camunda BPM for workflow orchestration and Elastic Stack for monitoring and telemetry.
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for support tooling and Ansible/Terraform for infrastructure changes.
- Exposure to barcode and RFID ecosystems (e.g., Honeywell, Zebra) and enterprise MDM/EMM platforms such as Intune or MobileIron.
