Software Engineer

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our client company ABB in Helsinki. About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the evolution of our sales configuration tool. This role focuses on the crucial daily maintenance of complex configuration rules to ensure seamless functionality and an optimal user experience, alongside hands-on development work in Java. You will contribute to a modern, agile environment, enhancing our core product.

Work tasks

This role focuses on the daily management and maintenance of configuration rules and user support for a sales configuration tool, alongside the development work that includes coding new features and enhancing existing ones.

• Maintain and develop complex configuration rules for our sales tool.
• Provide daily operational support for the configuration rules engine.
• Offer user support, troubleshooting issues related to order processing or system selections.
• Develop new features and enhance existing functionalities using Java.
• Configure components within the sales tool.

We are looking for

• Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree from IT
• Advanced knowledge of Java development
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Mathematical mindset
• Fluent skills in English

It is considered as an advantage if you have knowledge of the following:

• Java Spring app, React, JavaScript, SOAP, REST, JSF and PrimeFaces
• Fluent skills in Finnish
