We serve tens of thousands of customers as a trusted partner in digital transformation—advancing missions, driving efficiencies, and building engaged communities through purpose-driven technology.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every staff member’s unique strengths and abilities are valued and developed.

About The Role

As Technical Lead, you will collaborate closely with the Development Manager to set the technical direction, mentor team members, and ensure our systems are designed for scalability, reliability, and adherence to modern engineering best practices. The role requires proficiency in backend technologies (PHP/Laravel, AWS, multi-tenant SaaS architecture) as well as frontend development (React, JavaScript, modular UI design), enabling the creation of integrated and sustainable solutions throughout the technology stack.

How We Work

  • Work with product, architecture, and development teams to deliver quality platform features.
  • Advocate for best practices in PHP, Laravel, React, Git, testing, and releases.
  • Manage and enhance CI/CD, QA automation, observability, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Utilise AWS-native, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Foster experimentation, improvement, and innovation.
  • Uphold engineering standards through documentation, code quality, and mentorship.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the technical execution of major initiatives across backend APIs and frontend experiences.
  • Translate architectural guidance into actionable patterns: service boundaries, data modelling, caching strategy, API contracts, and integration flows.
  • Build high-performance, secure, and scalable PHP/Laravel services using modern frameworks and AWS services.
  • Strengthen frontend engineering practices using component architecture, design systems, modular SCSS/CSS, React conventions, and reusable UI patterns.
  • Mentor developers through pair programming, design reviews, and roadmap planning.
  • Guide DevOps improvements for CI/CD, environment consistency, branching strategy, and automated testing.
  • Perform technical audits, refactoring strategies, and modernisation work for legacy components.
  • Lead proofs of concept, evaluate new tools, and ensure readiness before adoption.
  • Champion quality performance, security, reliability, testing, and observability.
