Python Developer - Semiconductor / Contract
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join a globally known semiconductor company in the Cork area of Ireland on an initial 6 month contract basis (with extension likely)
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys building clean, reliable, and scalable solutions.
Your profile:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Python software development
- Solid understanding of core Python concepts and best practices
- Core knowledge of Python language mechanics
- Python low-level internals (memory allocation CPython implementation, GIL specifics).
- More low-level system focus, close to the metal and optimization of performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 6 years of overall software engineering or related experience
Nice to haves:
- Experience with DB, SQL or NoSQL
- Familiarity with FastAPI
- Knowledge of Git, Docker, Linux, and REST based services
