Accountant - Real Estate Investor - Luxembourg
We are currently mandated by one of the largest global real estate investors to assist in the recruitment of 2 accountants to the platform in Luxembourg.
Main Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):
Day-to-day financial accounting:
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper coding
- Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance
- Manage cash accounting, including cash flow monitoring and bank reconciliations
- Matching invoices with purchase orders
Monthly and year-end reporting:
- Review and analyse monthly trial balances and variances
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in preparation of annual accounts
- Preparation of ad hoc reports / reconciliations
Administration & General
- Assist with audits and other compliance activities as needed
- Preparation of financial statements and reports
- Preparation and assistance of VAT & CIT returns;
- Liaise with external auditors, tax & legal advisors (when required)
The following skills will be required
- 1-2 years’ experience, ideally gained in a similar environment (Fiduciary, Big 4, Asset Manager, Fund administration etc.)
- Familiarity with fund operations and regulatory requirements for Luxembourg domiciled funds, including SIFs and RAIFs
- Working knowledge of Lux GAAP; IFRS knowledge is considered an advantage
- Fluent in English, any other language will be considered as an asset
- Proactive and dynamic team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in an international environment
- Previous experience with Viewpoint and/or Yardi will be considered an asset
