About the Role


We are seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of nLighten’s IT systems and deliver high-quality support to internal users across Europe. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IT infrastructure, endpoint management, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

This role will collaborate closely with colleagues in France, the United Kingdom, and Germany. You will be proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment where legacy systems and new platforms must be integrated into a unified IT ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities


End-User Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide first- and second-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Diagnose and resolve complex problems across Windows, iOS, and mobile platforms.

• Advise users and departments on new IT solutions.


System & Endpoint Management

• Manage and maintain Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange Online.

• Administer accounts, groups, licenses, and permissions in Entra ID and Microsoft 365.

• Roll out MDM and MAM policies via Intune for Windows and iOS devices.

• Apply Conditional Access, MFA, DLP, and Defender for Endpoint policies.

• Use PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API to automate management tasks.


Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to escalate and resolve issues.

• Participate in IT projects, including deployments, upgrades, and migrations.

• Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to continuous support process improvements.

• Collaborate with European IT teams and CSPs for license management, policy enforcement, and incident resolution.


Monitoring & Compliance

• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.

• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and ISO27001 requirements.


What We’re Looking For


Experience & Technical Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in IT support or system administration, including site and remote support.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and Intune.

• Experience with TOPdesk and Apple Business Manager.

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional European teams.


Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.


Education & Languages

• MBO niveau 4: ICT Beheerder / Allround Medewerker IT Systems and Devices, or

• HBO: Informatica, Technische Informatica, or ICT & Infrastructure.

• Fluency in Dutch and English required; German and/or French a plus.

• AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals

• MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals

• MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator

• MD-102: Endpoint Administrator

• AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate


Preferred Certifications

• AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions

• MS-700: Teams Administrator Associate
