Our client is one of the biggest Investment Management company in Switzerland. With a global presence, the company mandated us exclusively to recruit their next Chief Technology and Security Officer in Switzerland. Investing in all kind of asset classes, our client offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic and bright Head of Technology and Security to define what the future of technology will be in the company in a kind, discreet and highly confidential environment.
Our next Chief of Technology & Security will be entrusted for leading a modern, secure, agile, data-driven and AI-enabled technology organization powering the company’s scalable business expansion.
This leader will reinforce technology as a competitive differentiator — secure-by-design, cloud-first, data-centric and operationally resilient — while embedding governance, compliance and production excellence.
As a Head of role, this leader will be part of the senior management team, expected to be a transversal actor, role model and force of proposition.
Responsibilities
In terms of responsibilities, please find what will be expected from the chosen candidate:
Strategic Technology Leadership
- Own and continuously evolve the Technology Strategy & 3-year Roadmap aligned with business growth and regulatory expectations
- Reinforce technology as a business enabler with measurable value
- Ensure architecture choices support scalability, repeatability, and operational excellence
Cybersecurity & Resilience
- Lead a security-by-design culture with robust threat detection, proactive defence and immediate response.
- Supervise CISO and governance based on the NIST cybersecurity framework 4.0
- Ensure business continuity, DR testing, and production excellence are embedded into operations
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Mastery
- Optimize hybrid setup (EU-cloud + Swiss high-security footprint)
- Drive observability, Reliability practices (SRE), and infrastructure performance KPIs
- Maintain a cost-efficient, compliant service catalog with strong SLA management
Enterprise Data & AI Enablement
- Partner with internal teams to run the company’s Innovation Framework.
- Enable secure AI and data services — including model lifecycle, sandbox governance, and responsible AI guidelines
- Sponsor enterprise integration, data quality and interoperability initiatives
Vendor & Platform Management
- Own strategic relationships and roadmaps for mission-critical platforms — especially SimCorp — ensuring contract governance, product evolution, and strong partnership management, Drive performance and strategic governance of key partners (SaaS, Cyber Ops, Managed Services)
- Balance control vs. outsourcing; maintain critical capabilities in-house
- Maintain a Platform Owner model:
→ Internal leadership drives integration, architecture and continuity
→ Partners industrialize delivery and run services
- Retain control of core data and knowledge to prevent dependency risks
- Embed continuous improvement and SLA oversight
People Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach and empower the three core teams — Infrastructure & Security, IT Client Services and Investment Systems — while building the company’s AI/Innovation capabilities and managing the function’s budget and resource planning. Shape a high-trust, high-accountability culture with clear KPIs and continuous learning
- Strengthen succession planning and workforce readiness for future technologies
Requirements
In terms of profile, we are looking for the following:
Experience & Education
- 15+ years in technology leadership within financial services (asset management, private banking) or highly regulated environments
- Master’s degree in technology / engineering (MBA or governance-focused education a plus)
- Demonstrated success with cloud/SaaS transformation and legacy modernization
- Strong background in cybersecurity maturity uplift, operational resilience, and service excellence
- Track record implementing data and AI adoption in complex ecosystems
Skills
- Visionary architect with strong execution discipline
- Excellent communication with Boards, ExCo and regulators
- Calm, coaching-oriented people leader — able to elevate diverse technical profiles and unlock their full potential in a complex environment
- Agile, pragmatic leadership style — able to simplify, prioritize and deliver impact
- Certifications valued: Cloud (AWS/Azure), Cyber (CISSP/CISM/CCSP), IT Governance (ITIL/COBIT)
