Blockchain Developer/ Rust Backend Engineer

Role Overview

II. Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Design and develop blockchain-based solutions, including crypto wallets, DEX integrations, and smart contracts.
• Provide expert guidance on on-chain and off-chain architectures, ensuring scalability and security.
• Evaluate and select blockchain protocols and tools for our projects.
• Stay ahead of blockchain trends and explore L1, L2, rollups, bridges, or hybrid solutions.

Strategy & Market Leadership

• Act as a key decision-maker on blockchain projects, providing insights on feasibility, risks, and opportunities.
• Work closely with business and product teams to define blockchain strategies aligned with market needs.
• Research and analyze trends in crypto payments, DeFi, tokenization, and cross chain interoperability.

Development & Implementation

• Implement smart contracts using Solidity, Rust, or Move, ensuring security best practices.
• Develop backend services for interacting with blockchain networks, optimizing for cost and speed.
• Work on transaction processing, ensuring secure and efficient payment flows.
• Ensure compliance with blockchain security standards and regulatory guidelines.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers, DevOps, security, and business teams to create end-to-end blockchain solutions.
• Provide mentorship and training to other engineers on blockchain best practices.

III. Required Qualifications

Must-have

• Blockchain Expertise
• Deep understanding of blockchain protocols, wallets, DEXs, DeFi, and crypto transactions.
• Experience working with Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, or other major chains.
• Smart contract development (Solidity, Rust, or Move).
• Strong understanding of gas optimization (Network fee), security best practices, and consensus mechanisms.
• Rust and TypeScript (strong preference).
• Experience working with Node.js, Web3.js, ethers.js, or similar blockchain SDKs.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or cloud-based blockchain solutions.
• Strong understanding of unit testing practices with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable code.
• Ability to work across multiple programming languages and adapt to diverse technology stacks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with MEV strategies, Flashbots, or on-chain arbitrage.
• Familiarity with zk-SNARKs, zk-Rollups, or other privacy-preserving technologies.
• Knowledge of DeFi protocols (Aave, Uniswap, Curve, etc.).
• Exposure to cross-chain solutions and interoperability frameworks.
