Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager – Data Analytics is responsible for translating business needs into clear analytical requirements and delivering accurate, consistent, and actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. The role focuses on data analysis, KPI definition, performance measurement, and insight generation, ensuring that all analytics are aligned with approved master data and governed definitions.

This position works closely with business stakeholders, Data Visualizers, and Data Governance teams to ensure insights are reliable, non-duplicative, and clearly interpreted across the organization.

About the Job:

Key Role and Responsibilities:

Business Requirements & KPI Definition

• Translate business needs into data, KPI, and reporting requirements with clear definitions, logic, and success criteria
• Define, document, and validate KPIs in alignment with approved master data and governance standards
• Ensure consistency and standardization of metrics across reports and dashboards

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

• Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and performance drivers
• Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance comparisons across functions
• Generate insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions

Data Validation & Quality Assurance

• Validate accuracy, consistency, and completeness of analytical outputs
• Prevent duplication or misalignment of reports by ensuring adherence to governed data definitions
• Collaborate with Data Governance and Data Quality teams to resolve data issues impacting analytics

Process & Performance Analysis

• Assess business and operational processes using data to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through evidence-based analysis

Collaboration & Delivery

• Use analytical tools to prepare, transform, and analyze datasets
• Partner with Data Visualizers to design dashboards and reports that clearly communicate insights
• Support business users in interpreting analytical outputs and KPIs

Qualifications, Experiences and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 4–7 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or performance reporting
• Experience defining KPIs and performing variance and trend analysis
• Experience working in governed data environments preferred

Technical Skills/Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with analytical tools, SQL, and reporting platforms
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
