Senior Go (Golang) Engineer

About the Role

We’re partnering with a high-growth technology platform that is scaling its core engineering teams. The Senior Golang Engineer will play a pivotal role in building and evolving backend systems that power core product features with reliability, performance, and scalability in mind.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang)
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact features
• Build scalable, distributed systems supporting real-time user traffic
• Ensure code quality through testing, CI/CD, and best practices
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture

What You Bring

• 6+ years of professional experience in backend engineering
• Strong experience with Go (Golang) in production systems
• Product mindset — experience shipping product features end-to-end
• Comfortable working with microservices, APIs, distributed systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time systems, streaming, event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of performance optimisation and observability tool
