We are seeking a Platform Engineer with a strong DevOps, Azure and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) background to support our Solution Architects in implementing, operating, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and highly available production systems.

This role is heavily focused on SRE practices, production support, end-to-end debugging, monitoring, and automation.

Position: Platform Engineer (DevOps, Cloud, SRE)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Duration: 6-12 months extendable to long term

Key Responsibilities

Platform & SRE Operations

• Support the Solution Architect on a daily basis to implement and operationalize platform designs.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of multiple production systems.
• Apply SRE principles to improve system stability, reduce incidents, and enhance observability.
• Perform end-to-end debugging and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews.

DevOps & Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform (IaC).
• Improve deployment processes to ensure safe, repeatable, and scalable releases.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve build, release, and deployment workflows.

Monitoring & Observability

• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Define SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical systems.
• Proactively identify system bottlenecks and reliability risks.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure Azure.
• Support containerized and/or cloud-native platforms (Docker, Kubernetes preferred).
• Ensure security, scalability, and cost optimization of platform services.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in DevOps and SRE roles, especially in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience with cloud platforms - Azure.
• Strong troubleshooting and end-to-end debugging skills.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, etc.).
• Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
