About CYBRET AI

CYBRET AI is building Autonomous Security Infrastructure for modern organizations operating in complex, distributed, cloud native environments.

Our ambition is to move cybersecurity away from reactive, human dependent workflows and toward continuous, intelligent, autonomous security. We design systems that combine human judgment where it matters with fully autonomous decision making where speed, scale, and precision are required.

We make a strict distinction between automation and autonomy. CYBRET AI does not rely on static rules or predefined playbooks. We build systems that understand context, reason over exposure and attack surfaces, assess consequences, and make decisions based on real risk. Humans are involved only when escalation is necessary.

What We Are Building

Our core product focus is Exposure and Vulnerability Management as an intelligent decision system.

Rather than treating vulnerabilities as isolated findings, CYBRET AI models real attack surfaces, realistic attack paths, identity relationships, trust boundaries, and business criticality. Our systems reason about how exposures combine in practice and what actions meaningfully reduce risk.

We are building toward Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Marketplace launches, with cloud agnostic architecture as a foundation.

The Role

This is a senior AI engineering role with direct responsibility for the reasoning and intelligence layer of the CYBRET AI platform.

You will design, build, and evolve AI systems that reason over security data, generate decisions, and operate autonomously in production environments. This role sits at the intersection of applied machine learning, systems engineering, and security.

You will not be tuning demo models. You will be building AI systems that must be reliable, explainable, and safe to run in security critical environments.

Responsibilities

AI Reasoning and Decision Systems

You will design and implement AI driven reasoning systems that analyze exposure, exploitability, and risk.

You will work on decision logic that prioritizes actions based on real world impact rather than raw signals.

Applied Machine Learning

You will develop and deploy machine learning models for classification, ranking, and prediction in security contexts.

You will work with noisy, incomplete, and adversarial data.

Agent and Autonomy Design

You will help design agent based systems that operate with varying levels of autonomy.

You will define when systems act independently and when they escalate to human decision makers.

Data and Feature Engineering

You will design feature pipelines that combine security telemetry, cloud metadata, identity data, and external intelligence.

You will ensure data quality, lineage, and reproducibility.

Model Evaluation and Safety

You will define evaluation methods for correctness, robustness, and failure modes.

You will ensure models behave predictably in high risk and edge case scenarios.

Production AI Systems

You will work closely with backend and platform engineers to deploy AI systems into production.

You will help ensure scalability, observability, and reliability of AI driven components.

How We Work

CYBRET AI operates fully remote.

The team is currently based in Norway, but we hire internationally.

We recruit based on Merit, Excellence, and Intelligence.

We value deep focus, curiosity, and strong ownership.

You are expected to work independently and make sound decisions in both low effort high impact and high effort high impact situations.

A strong shipping mindset is essential. AI work must result in production systems, not research prototypes.

Interest in security research, applied AI, and state of the art techniques is strongly preferred.

Writing technical or research content is optional but valued.

This is an early stage startup. The pace is high, structure evolves continuously, and the impact is real.

We plan monthly social gatherings such as weekend trips, cabin stays, and team events. These are covered by CYBRET AI.

A dedicated budget is provided for learning, courses, and professional development.

Practical Information and Benefits

The team is small, highly skilled, and talent dense.

Our ambition is to scale without sacrificing depth or quality.

English is the primary working language.

The company is Norwegian, with potential future transition to a US INC structure.

The role is fully remote. A home office agreement is signed upon employment.

You may choose your own laptop up to 20,000 NOK.

Recommended models include Lenovo Yoga 7 14AKP10 or ThinkPad E16 Gen 2 with AMD.

Optional home office equipment can be arranged.

Strict confidentiality and correct handling of sensitive and security critical information is mandatory.

The role requires the ability to pass background checks and security clearance according to applicable regulations.

Standard insurance coverage is provided.

Mobile subscription and home internet costs are fully reimbursed.

Equity and Ownership

CYBRET AI offers a highly competitive and generous Employee Stock Option Program.

Early hires are viewed as owners, not employees.

This role includes meaningful equity and long term upside.

Investors and Backing

CYBRET AI is backed by leading Nordic and European venture funds with strong technical focus and global ambition, as well as experienced operators and security focused advisors.

Why CYBRET AI

You should join CYBRET AI if you want to build AI systems that make real security decisions, work on autonomy rather than dashboards, influence the core intelligence of the platform, and be an early owner in a company with global ambition.
