System Architect Physics & Analysis
As a System Architect Physics & Analysis, you will engage with clients to understand their needs, create system architectures, and oversee activities across the development lifecycle—from initial concepts to validation in volume production. You will work on highly complex systems and modules within the semiconductor industry, ensuring their integration into larger machines and facilities. In this role, you’ll guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, make risk-based decisions, and foster progress through leadership and coaching.
The work focuses primarily on semiconductor stages, precision modules and high-dynamic systems in diverse conditions, including vacuum and cryogenic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating technical teams (20-40 members) to ensure timely and accurate project delivery within budget.
- Developing architectures and concepts based on technical expertise,
- Working closely with Physics engineers to address technical challenges,
- Supporting and coaching (lead-)engineers and sub-architects in their daily work, fostering technical growth and effectiveness.
- Collaborating with other system architects to refine architectural practices and align with business and customer priorities.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in physics is preferred,
- At least 10 years in a high-tech industry role focused on mechatronic system design and realization
- Hands-on knowledge in applied physics fields such as thermodynamics, magnetics, high voltage, plasma cleaning, flow dynamics, vacuum design, FEM dynamics, and cathode development.
Key Skills:
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, especially when collaborating with Physics engineers and other stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
