ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to analyze the attackers behind cybercrimes and beyond.
The position is both demanding and rewarding, requiring creativity, precision, and strong technical expertise. As a member of our team, you will contribute to meaningful, high-impact work that protects our clients from evolving cyber threats. You will play a key role in leading investigations, applying innovative approaches and advanced technical skills to unravel complex cases.
YOUR MISSION:
- Provide expert consultation to clients on matters related to cyber investigations and digital threat analysis.
- Perform preliminary incident assessments, including analysis of initial access vectors and scoping of investigations.
- Analyze network infrastructures, digital assets, and threat indicators associated with malicious actors.
- Identify and track threat actors across the Clear, Deep, and Dark Web using both passive and active intelligence-gathering techniques.
- Produce clear, comprehensive investigation reports in both English and Arabic.
- Monitor active threat actors operating within the Middle East and Africa region, proactively hunting for emerging threats and investigating their activities.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of intelligence collection and analysis methodologies.
- Participate in the creation of articles, blogs, and research publications related to cyber investigations.
- Collaborate and coordinate with law enforcement agencies in support of cybercrime investigations.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous 3–5 years experience in Digital Investigations, Threat Intelligence, or Penetration Testing.
- Hands-on experience with web technologies, including hosting environments, servers, databases, and content management systems (CMS).
- Strong Linux and Windows administration skills, with proficiency in Bash scripting and regular expressions.
- Solid understanding of internet protocols such as DNS, SMTP, and HTTP, along with experience managing web hosting and email server environments.
- Practical knowledge of OSINT methodologies, including social media investigations, Google dorking, and image-based geolocation techniques.
- Good understanding of common web application vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques, particularly remote code execution.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Basic knowledge of binary exploitation and reverse engineering concepts.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify anomalies or issues.
- Programming experience in languages such as PHP, Python, or JavaScript.
- Relevant Information Security certifications (e.g., GIAC, CompTIA, EC-Council, (ISC)², CREST, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with current cyber threats, modern fraud schemes, and common cyber-attack techniques.
- Strong understanding of web application security fundamentals and hands-on experience with tools such as Burp Suite, SQLMap, WPScan, or similar security testing tools.
- Experience in writing and presenting investigation reports in both English and Arabic.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English.
