Martell Media and Martell Ventures sit at the intersection of high-growth SaaS, AI, and world-class entrepreneurship. We don’t just consult; we build, incubate, and scale companies we own or have equity in. We are looking for a Growth Assistant to join our elite Portfolio Growth Team.
What You'll Do
- Tactical Execution: Implement and manage growth experiments across our highest-growth companies, including paid ads, SEO initiatives, and partner programs.
- Growth Stack Instrumentation: Help set up and maintain the growth tech stack for portfolio companies. You’ll help make sure tracking scripts, pixels, and event triggers are firing correctly so we have clean data.
- Paid Advertising: You’ll help deploy paid advertising systems in companies along with the landing pages, ads, tracking and testing.
- Partnerships: You’ll help deploy partnership systems in companies along with the list building, outreach, onboarding, activation tracking and expansion.
- AI & Automation: Leverage the latest in AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and automation tools (Zapier, Make) to build "low-touch" growth loops. You’ll be exploring "Vibe Coding" and other rapid-development techniques to ship landing pages and tools.
- Sales & Outreach: Execute at the front lines—this includes SDR/BDR functions, managing cold outreach sequences, and jumping on sales calls to help our CEOs validate new offers.
- Playbook Development: Document everything. You will help build the "Growth Playbooks" that become the standard operating procedures for our portfolio companies.
- Portfolio Agility: Maintain a high level of context-switching ability. You will bounce between different brands, audiences, and tech stacks, ensuring high-quality execution in every environment.
- Startup DNA: 1–3 years of experience in a high-velocity startup or agency. You understand that "done is better than perfect" and you move with urgency.
- The "Operator" Mindset: You don't need a manual. You are a self-starter who figures things out and takes extreme ownership of the result.
- Analytical Rigor: You are comfortable with numbers. You know how to look at a spreadsheet or a dashboard and tell a story about where the bottleneck is in a funnel.
- AI-Native Skills: You aren't just a casual user; you are a power user of AI and automation tools. You understand how to use these tools to multiply your own output.
- Marketing & Sales Fundamentals: You understand digital marketing funnels, email deliverability, and basic sales psychology. If you’ve been a BDR/SDR or handled ads before, that’s a huge plus.
- Relentless Curiosity: You are a student of growth. You spend your free time learning about the latest SaaS trends, AI breakthroughs, and marketing hacks.
- Local Presence: You are either currently in Kelowna, BC, or are ready to relocate to join us in-office. This is a high-touch, collaborative role that happens in person.
