The Software Developer for web applications will work on a variety of projects as assigned by various project leads. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP/MySQL development with heavy experience in an MVC environment. Experience with API and web service integration a plus. Attention to detail and thoroughness are an absolute must for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Designs/codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools
- Maintains and modifies existing applications on their own as well as under direction from senior team members
- Performs maintenance programming for existing codebase
- Performs custom programming as directed
- Assumes responsibility for ongoing development of assigned tasks
- Works with project lead and quality assurance through completion of tasks

Competencies
- 4+ years’ experience of quality software development
- 3+ years’ experience developing PHP/MySQL-based applications
- Familiarity working within Model/View/Controller software architecture
- Familiarity working within a version control system
- Implementation of varied API and Web Services through the use of REST/XML
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members
- Ability to interface well with professional service staff and other non-technical members of the organization
- Knowledge of Jira is a plus
- Knowledge of Git is a plus
- Knowledge of Laravel framework is a plus
- Knowledge of React Native is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or related fields.
