As a Senior Data Engineer at BigData Republic, you work at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and advisory. You build production-ready data solutions, advise clients on scalable data platforms, and help teams move forward, technically and professionally.

Your role

• Spend ~90% of your time on challenging client projects across multiple industries
• Design and build robust data platforms and pipelines
• Act as a trusted advisor on data architecture, quality, scalability, and governance
• Coach colleagues and clients where needed
• Use dedicated time for innovation, knowledge sharing, or personal pet projects

About you

You are an experienced Data Engineer who:

• Enjoys rolling up sleeves while keeping the bigger picture in mind
• Combines strong engineering skills with an advisory mindset
• Feels comfortable operating in complex environments
• Is curious, pragmatic, and always looking to improve

You have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in the Netherlands.

• ELT / ETL pipelines
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure
• Programming: Python, Scala, Kotlin, SQL
• DevOps & infrastructure: CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Terraform, Helm
• Data warehousing & analytics: BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, dbt
• Streaming & real-time: Kafka, Spark, Flink
• Orchestration: Airflow, Dagster
