Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications, ensuring abstraction, code reusability and applying principles like KISS, SOLID and Domain Driven Design.
Design, implement, and manage databases using GCP's database services (e.g., Cloud SQL, Spanner).
Build and integrate RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between frontend, backend and other domain microservices.
Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GCP tools like Cloud Build and Cloud Deployment Manager.
Ensure application and data security, managing GCP IAM roles and adhering to best practices.
Monitor application performance using GCP tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Trace) and optimize for cost and efficiency.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Product Owner, Business Analyst) to deliver integrated solutions.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the full stack, ensuring application reliability.
Keep up-to-date with GCP services, tools, best practices and development principles to leverage the latest technology.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in a complex project deployed on Cloud (Google, AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools - Kubernetes or Docker experience.
Minimum 6 months using Terraform (or a relevant alternate) as an IaC tool.
>5 years) Backend Engineering background (Java / Kotlin / NodeJs, Spring Boot / Quarkus, etc).
Extensive experience with GIT and the Spring framework.
Familiarity with building RESTful APIs and Microservices.
Understanding of JPA/Hibernate for database interactions.
Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA.
