We are supporting two major tier-1 banking organisations in Brussels, both strengthening their Agile delivery capabilities within large-scale, enterprise environments. We are currently looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support established teams and ensure strong, pragmatic application of Scrum principles.

Logistics

• Role: Freelance Scrum Master
• Contract: 12 months (extension likely)
• Location: Brussels (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site)
• Languages: English, French & Dutch
• Start Date: ASAP
• Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Act as a Scrum Master with strong adherence to Scrum principles and ceremonies
• Facilitate all Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)
• Ensure transparency and open communication within the team
• Identify, surface, and help resolve impediments and risks
• Safeguard team dynamics, collaboration, and overall quality
• Act as a trusted right-hand partner to team leadership
• Coach team members on Agile theory and Scrum best practices
• Support teams operating in evolving, enterprise-scale environments

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in complex or enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and Scrum methodology
• Strong organisational, facilitation, and administrative skills
• High emotional intelligence and strong people management capabilities
• Ownership mindset with the ability to assess and improve team performance
• Comfortable working in changing or scaling team structures
• Fluent in English, French, and Dutch
• Willingness to work on-site in Brussels at least 2 days per week

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting multiple teams or scaled Agile setups
• Exposure to Agile transformations in large organisations
• SAFe or other Agile framework experience
• Scrum Master or Agile certification
