About the Role:
Our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company committed to advancing patient care through innovation and scientific excellence, is seeking a Global Business Insight & Intelligence Lead. This strategic role will transform data into actionable insights that shape global strategy, optimise commercial performance, and enable evidence-based decision-making across brands and geographies.
You will lead the global insights framework - spanning market understanding, forecasting, performance analytics, and decision support - while partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams worldwide. Working in a dynamic, multicultural environment with senior stakeholders and cutting-edge tools, you’ll be driving meaningful outcomes for patients across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Insight Leadership:
- Act as the primary strategic insights partner across the organisation.
- Develop and implement an integrated Insights and Analytics roadmap aligned with corporate and portfolio strategy.
Market Understanding and Customer Insights:
- Build a holistic view of markets, customers, competitors, and external trends.
- Design and oversee primary market research (qualitative and quantitative) with HCPs, patients, and payers.
- Champion the voice of the customer across brand planning and lifecycle management.
Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities; deliver concise implication briefs to senior leadership.
- Maintain a centralised intelligence repository for global teams.
Performance Analytics and KPI Framework:
- Define and track global commercial KPIs (sales, share, omnichannel performance).
- Develop standardised dashboards and scorecards for executive reporting.
Forecasting and Scenario Planning:
- Own global forecasting frameworks and assumptions for in-line and pipeline assets.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Data, Tools and Governance:
- Manage global data landscape (IQVIA, CRM, digital data, market research).
- Implement BI tools and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) ensuring data quality and compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Global, Regional, and Local teams to align insights and KPIs.
- Drive a global insights community of practice and share best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; MBA/MS preferred.
- Significant years of experience in global/international Business Intelligence, Market Insights, or Commercial Analytics roles within pharmaceuticals/biotech.
- Proven experience in market research, launch readiness, commercial excellence, and portfolio management.
- Advanced technical skills in data analytics, dashboarding, and CRM systems
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and strong quantitative skills.
- Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and large audiences. Strong storytelling and communication skills; able to “make data talk.”
- Open-minded and able to challenge the status quo.
- Dynamic, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
- Driven, responsible, and collaborative with a positive attitude.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
