Start Your HR Journey in a dynamic international environment
About The Job
Are you studying HR and ready to get real, hands-on experience – not just observe from the sidelines? And did you catch that spelling mistake? Then you might be the detail-oriented person we’re looking for! As an HR Student Assistant at Nexis Sweden, you’ll support both day-to-day HR work and improvement initiatives. You’ll join a friendly, ambitious, and supportive team where you can learn fast, take ownership, and make a genuine impact.
We offer a diverse and inclusive workplace, real opportunities for growth (including pathways into our graduate program), and a culture where your ideas are heard and valued.
You’ll also get the best of both worlds: the scale of a large international organization and the closeness of a Swedish office with around 120 employees. That means you’ll quickly get to know the colleagues you work with locally, while also gaining insight into HR in a broader, international context - including collaboration with our Nordic setup.
What Will You Do
As our HR Student Assistant, you will support a broad range of HR tasks and projects, including:
- Support in day-to-day work with leaders and people topics (e.g., preparing material, follow-ups, presentations, basic HR data and insights).
- Handle HR administration and help ensure people-related updates are processed accurately and on time – such as hires, changes, and other employee lifecycle updates – in line with established HR Operations processes and routines.
- Assist and collaborate with our Nordic HR team on HR related tasks, coordination, and processes.
- Support and coordinate union and work environment committee meetings, including data collection and preparation of materials.
- Support and coordinate onboarding sessions for new employees.
- Help keep HR documentation up to date, including the employee handbook and intranet site.
- Play an active role in implementing an HR chatbot – including, for example:
- collecting and structuring HR FAQs and content for the knowledge base
- drafting, simplifying, and quality-checking responses and tone of voice
- testing user journeys, troubleshooting, improving answers, and tracking feedback
- supporting rollout, communications, and simple user guides
- helping set routines for ownership, updates, quality, and governance
This opportunity could be a great match for you if:
- You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or another relevant field, with at least one year remaining in your studies.
- You are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- You are organized, curious, and proactive – and you know how to get things done efficiently when it counts.
- You are comfortable using digital tools, particularly Microsoft Office, and enjoy creating clear, professional presentations.
- You have experience with HR systems, or a strong interest in learning how to use them effectively.
We believe in growing our people. Joining as a student assistant can be a significant step toward a future career with us, including potential opportunities in our graduate program.
