Business Analyst

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Near-site required. Must be located in, or willing to relocate within a two-hour drive of Warsaw)

Contract Duration: 220 working days

Citizenship Requirement: European nationality required


Role Overview

The Business Analyst will support the analysis, design and continuous improvement of business processes and IT systems, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners and technical teams throughout the full lifecycle of software solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Model and document value chains, business processes, roles, capabilities and data
  • Elicit, analyse and manage business needs, requirements and user stories
  • Support business experts and product owners during requirements definition and software development
  • Maintain and track requirements and user stories throughout the system lifecycle
  • Translate business, user and technical needs into business requirement specifications
  • Map business goals, benefits, priorities, system components and system features
  • Analyse existing systems and support the identification of solution options
  • Support preparation of business cases and feasibility studies
  • Contribute to systems design, testing, quality assurance and change management
  • Design, validate and test business processes to achieve business process excellence
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for business processes
  • Coach internal staff on upcoming changes and support skills and process transition
  • Collaborate with end-to-end process owners to identify efficiency and effectiveness improvements
  • Perform quantitative analysis including cost–benefit and what-if analysis
  • Support organisational change planning and implementation
  • Implement and support performance monitoring systems for business processes
  • Support business users in strategic and tactical planning activities
  • Support definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures


Required Experience and Certifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience working in IT.
  • At least 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Experience of having completed at least one full software solution lifecycle.
  • University degree required.
  • English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent.
  • Certified UML Professional (Foundation Level) or BPM 2 Fundamental Level.
  • Other internationally recognised Business Analysis or modelling certifications.
  • Knowledge of business process modelling using BPMN notation.
  • Experience in requirements and user story elicitation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of analysis and modelling notations such as UML, including capability diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams and logical data models.
  • Proficiency in modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create, maintain and manage analytical and project documentation effectively.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience in projects related to authentic and false identity and travel documents.
  • Experience in projects involving systems that process large volumes of images.
