Mubashir is a digital out-of-home (DOOH) technology company operating a distributed network of smart advertising screens. Our engineering platform supports scalable content delivery, adtech integrations, and cloud-native infrastructure. As we grow our platform and cloud environments, we’re seeking a DevOps Lead to drive our infrastructure automation, observability, and platform reliability.

Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining Mubashir’s infrastructure, ensuring reliable deployments, and supporting cloud operations. You will work closely with development, AI, and product teams to enable CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation. This role is hands-on and includes incident response and cloud-level technical support for internal teams, without team management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Automation

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Deploy and monitor containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provision infrastructure using Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.

1. Security & Compliance

• Apply and enforce IAM policies, secrets management, and access control.
• Implement logging, metrics, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Support secure deployment practices and collaborate with InfoSec when required.

1. Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Response

• Ensure high availability and performance of backend infrastructure.
• Investigate issues across staging and production environments.
• Respond to cloud-level incidents and alerts; coordinate with internal teams as needed.

1. Technical Support & Helpdesk (Cloud-Level)

• Provide Tier 3 support for infrastructure and DevOps-related issues.
• Respond to internal incidents involving CI/CD failures, cloud permissions, or deployment access.
• Assist with onboarding engineers to tools like GitHub, Terraform, and Kubernetes dashboards.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

1. Collaborate with frontend, backend, AI, and InfoSec teams to support infrastructure delivery.

5. Document workflows and contribute to a shared DevOps knowledge base.

7. Participate in planning, retrospectives, and incident postmortems to improve DevOps processes.

Key Competencies and Skills

1. Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm, YAML, GitOps workflows
2. Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
3. CI/CD Pipelines: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI
4. Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
5. Cloud & OS Fundamentals: Linux, shell scripting, cloud-agnostic practices (Azure/GCP/AWS)
6. Security & Access: IAM, secrets management, TLS, RBAC
7. Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
8. Documentation: Writing runbooks, onboarding guides, and architecture notes

Certifications to Be Acquired

1. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
2. Intermediate cloud platform certification (e.g., Azure/GCP/AWS Associate level)
3. Terraform Associate or equivalent Infrastructure as Code certification
4. Optional: DevSecOps or observability tooling certifications

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

1. CI/CD deployment success rate and rollback frequency
2. Infrastructure uptime and incident resolution time (MTTR)
3. Quality and consistency of infrastructure documentation
4. Response time and effectiveness in handling internal support requests
5. Automation coverage and reduction of manual deployment steps
6. System performance and observability metrics (alert coverage, false positive rate)

Qualifications

1. Education: Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
2. Experience: 3–8 years of hands-on DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience
3. Certifications: As listed above or equivalent practical expertise in cloud-native tooling and systems automation
