Part-timeEngineering, Information Technology

Safix is a “driver-for-your-car” mobility platform. We provide verified professional drivers to operate the customer’s own vehicle across three services: Safix Man / Go / Drop, including pick-up & delivery for servicing and parking workflows.

Our initial MVP was built by an external agency. We are now hiring our first in-house engineer to take technical ownership, stabilize production, and prepare the platform for a near-term market launch.

Current stage: we are finalizing/awaiting approval of our insurance setup (core requirement for launch). The engineering function will play a key role in executing the technical integration and operational workflows with the insurance partner.

Mandatory Language Requirement (Non-Negotiable)

Daily communication and reporting with the founder will be in one of these languages, so fluency in at least one is required:

• Russian (native/bilingual), or

• Ukrainian (native/bilingual), or

• Italian (native/bilingual)

Tech Stack

• Backend / Admin: PHP Laravel (+ Blade)

• Mobile: Flutter (Client & Driver apps)

• Database: MySQL

• Infrastructure: Linux / LEMP, DigitalOcean / AWS (S3)

• Integrations: Stripe, Google Maps API (GPS/Traffic), Pusher/Firebase, OpenWeather

Key Responsibilities

1) Takeover & Stabilization (Top Priority)

• Structured takeover from the external agency: code audit, architecture review, dependency/security checks, and documentation.

• Fix critical bugs, reduce regressions, and establish a stable release process (branching, PR rules, release notes).

2) Automation-First Engineering

• Implement/upgrade CI/CD, automated backups, monitoring/alerts, error tracking, and operational dashboards.

• Improve logging and audit trails (especially admin actions).

3) Insurance Integration Ownership (Launch-Critical)

You will lead the technical connection with our insurance partner, including:

• Integration approach (API/webhooks/data exchange) where applicable.

• Mapping required events and “insurance triggers” into the platform (trip lifecycle, handoff photos, incident/SOS, FNOL-related flows).

• Data consistency, auditability, secure storage, and operational reporting needed for insurance workflows.

4) Dynamic Pricing

• Integrate Google Maps Traffic + OpenWeather to automate pricing coefficients and rules.

5) B2B Platform Expansion (API + Workflows)

• Build B2B APIs for partners (fleets, hotels, restaurants, service centers).

• Refine the Driver App for B2B workflows (partner orders, statuses, SLA, reporting).

• Improve the Admin Panel for B2B operations (partner accounts, API keys, roles, limits, reporting/exports).

6) City Management & RBAC (Already Exists — Needs Improvement)

• The City Manager role already exists; you will enhance RBAC, city-scoped reporting, and operational tooling to support multi-city scaling.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Strong production experience with Laravel: API design, authentication, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Ability to maintain and ship updates in Flutter (not necessarily a Flutter specialist, but capable of supporting it).

• Experience with Linux servers, deployments, and operational reliability basics (monitoring, backups, incident hygiene).

• Ownership mindset: you treat the product like your own and can operate with minimal supervision.

Compensation

• €500 / month + small equity (stock options)

• €500/month applies until the company reaches stable revenue, after which compensation will be revisited based on business performance and delivered results.

• Part-time initially (typical range 15–25 hours/week), with scope potentially expanding based on delivery and launch needs.

How to Apply (Required Format)

Message me “SAFIX” with:

1. CV + GitHub/portfolio

2. A short intro (5–7 lines) answering:

• How do you approach a takeover/audit from an external agency?

• Which 3 automations would you implement in the first 2 weeks?

• Briefly: how would you architect the B2B API (auth, roles, limits)?

• Have you ever worked on insurance / claims / compliance-related integrations (even indirectly)?
