Senior Product Manager - Global Spare Parts
Job Description
Do you want to play a strategic role in developing our global Spare Parts proposition – balancing customer value, lifecycle support, and profitability? If so, you may be the Product Manager we are looking for.
Your Department
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be part of the Global Spare Parts team within the Business Unit Supply. The Spare Parts department is globally responsible for the portfolio management, sales, planning, ordering and delivery of Vanderlande’s material handling spare parts. The department is divided into three sub-teams
- Sales and Portfolio Management – responsible for item control, portfolio management, and sales order management/support. You will be part of this team.
- Logistics – responsible for material planning, ordering, operational supplier management, warehousing, and outbound logistics of spare parts.
- Strategy and Transformation – focusing on developing strategy and executing strategy related projects and changes
As Senior Product Manager – Global Spare Parts, you will take ownership of the global spare parts portfolio. You will shape strategy, define governance, and ensure that our portfolio is competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer and business needs.
You act as first contact for the global organization on strategic and tactical spare parts topics and collaborate closely with, Procurement, Service, Sales and Technology. Operational execution (such as day-to-day master data, order processing, and logistics activities) is performed by supporting teams, allowing you to focus on portfolio direction and business impact.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the spare parts strategy, ensuring alignment with product lifecycle and service requirements.
- Manage the global spare parts portfolio, from new product introductions to phase-out and replacement strategies.
- Maintain and improve pricing & margin strategies and establish a discount governance
- Monitor portfolio performance (e.g. turnover, obsolescence, profitability) and initiate improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Service, Sales and Technology to optimize the value proposition.
- Act as key point of contact for spare parts during product introductions and in strategic supplier or customer discussions.
- Drive continuous improvement in governance, processes, and supplier performance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in product/portfolio management, supply chain, or service business (preferably in a technical/industrial environment).
- Strong analytical and commercial skills; experience in pricing and lifecycle management.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with pragmatic execution.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus.
This position offers a competitive salary range of € 5.400 to € 6.400 per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
