About The Role
Our open-source GenAI Platform (GenAI Hub) is a core part of the Data & Analytics application landscape at VELUX, alongside our Data Platform built on Snowflake and dbt and guided by data mesh principles. In this role, you will be helping design, build, and operate the platform end to end to deliver a fast, reliable, and cost-efficient experience for thousands of users. A key focus is integrating the platform and its tooling with Snowflake and the wider Data & Analytics ecosystem to enable secure, production-grade GenAI use cases.

About The Role

In this role, you will be helping design, build, and operate the platform end to end to deliver a fast, reliable, and cost-efficient experience for thousands of users. A key focus is integrating the platform and its tooling with Snowflake and the wider Data & Analytics ecosystem to enable secure, production-grade GenAI use cases.
Your Responsibilities
- Building end-to-end features for our OpenWebUI-based GenAI Hub, shipping backend APIs and a clean Svelte (TypeScript) frontend that feels fast and reliable for thousands of users
- Developing Python backend services with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy
- Modeling data in PostgreSQL and using Redis for effective caching (e.g., session/results caching)
- Implementing automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and contributing to CI quality gates
- Building and refining the Svelte (JS/TS) frontend with a focus on UX, latency, and clarity
- Instrumenting code with metrics/traces and iterating based on usage insights
- Solid experience with Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL
- Frontend experience with Svelte (TypeScript) and modern web tooling
- Practical caching strategies with Redis
- A habit of writing tests and working in CI/CD-driven workflows
- Experience delivering applications for a few thousand users
- Nice to have: Open-source contributions and/or familiarity with OpenWebUI
