Quantitative Developer

Hawksman Technology is currently working with a global quantitative and systematic investment management company who are looking to hire a Quant Developer (Python) for their South East Asia business.

Role and responsibilities include:

• Work directly with quantitative researchers to iterate and enhance research workflows and strategy performance across APAC markets
• Develop, improve, and maintain Python research tools used to support systematic trading strategies
• Contribute to the continuous build-out of simulation and backtesting frameworks
• Monitor quantitative research pipelines and ensure smooth delivery of research jobs
• Collaborate closely with global stakeholders on cross-region research, tooling, and data initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience (Master’s degree desirable)
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience using core data toolkits such as NumPy, Pandas, and/or Polars
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience developing in Python within a research-heavy or data-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving mindset and a desire to operate in fast-paced, collaborative and geographically distributed teams
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder interactions
• Can be advantageous to have Knowledge of equities or equity derivatives markets.
