RMO Sputter Process Engineering team – Be responsible to engineer solutions in the process control monitoring and improvement for PMR and HAMR products and provide technical & engineering support to enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) sputter machines with upgrades to improve OEE, unscheduled/scheduled downtime, operations, process capabilities, indirect material (IDM)/hardware/consumables cost reduction, productivity, new product conversion requirements & readiness, media performance and defects reduction.
About The Role - You Will
- Develop the smart sputter process system, a cornerstone of the smart sputter ecosystem. The system auto performs sputter process control and prediction, quality control, and OEE deep dive.
- Refine sputter machine KPIV (Key Process Input Variables) anomaly monitoring system for optimized HAMR and PMR product configuration.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams – Equipment, Process, Launch, Maintenance, IT.

- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and working with multiple priorities.

- Bachelor’s degree in AI, data science, computer science, computer engineering, or any relevant fields.

- Python / R Language / C++ / C# programming
- Traditional and Agentic AI
- Machine learning and Deep learning
- Data analytics and Statistical analysis
- SQL Database or equivalent
- GitHub
- Linux
- Kubernetes, Dockers
- Strong experience in data visualization, especially Tableau applications.
- Hands on experience in JavaScript / HTML / Django / JSON / Web Development.
- Deployment of AI/ML models into real products.
- Experience working in a high-tech manufacturing environment preferred.
- Leveraging proven ability to drive change, deliver exceptional support, and collaborate effectively with colleagues as part of a productive team.
- Knowledge of Thin Film / PVD / CVD / Etch / Ion Beam / Ion Implantation process. Ultra-High Vacuum tool is an added advantage.
