Our partner, a prominent research center in technological innovation, is seeking a Research Engineer to support its expanding activities in multidisciplinary design for manufacturing metallic components. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced simulation tools tailored to industrial needs.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance finite element software for topology optimization, aligning with industrial applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with experts to integrate multi-physics modeling capabilities.
• Leverage advanced HPC resources to optimize solutions for manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications:
• PhD in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Advanced expertise in multi-physics modeling and solid mechanics or electromagnetics.
• Strong knowledge of topology optimization and adjoint sensitivity analysis.
• Proficiency in object-oriented C++ programming on Linux, with experience in non-linear finite element programming for electro-mechanical applications.
• Collaborative programming skills for managing large, complex codebases.
• Hands-on experience with debugging and software performance tools.
• Parallel programming experience with OpenMP and MPI.
• Analytical thinking, proactive attitude, and teamwork-oriented.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
Additional Qualifications:
• Familiarity with manufacturing process modeling for metallic parts.
• Cross-platform programming experience (Linux/Windows).
• Strong background in algebra and calculus.
