The People, Transformation & Technology Group drives transformational change at ASIC through investments in people, processes, and technology. It integrates digital, data, and technology teams, supported by the enterprise program office, while maintaining core technology environments. The group includes Registry Interactions Services, Modernising Business Registers, and the Information Technology team, which leads ASIC's transformation agenda and technology platforms.
The role
The Junior AWS Engineer supports the design, deployment, and maintenance of Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to kick start your career in the AWS Engineering space with full training, mentoring and career development provided by ASIC. We provide assistance for study and professional development, and a flexible, hybrid work environment.
About You
Your application will be reviewed based on ability to demonstrate, or potential to develop, the capabilities required. Ideally you will have a good foundation in the following areas:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience working with AWS services.
- Basic understanding of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Basic knowledge of networking, security, and database management.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) is a plus.
